I have been a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon with a specialist interest in retina and vitreo-retinal diseases since 2003. I graduated from Trinity Medical School, Dublin in 1991 with honours in surgery. I started my basic surgical training in ophthalmology in 1994 in the UK and completed my higher surgical training in ophthalmology on the West Midlands rotation. This was followed by two fellowships in vitreo-retinal surgery at Birmingham and Midland Eye Centre and the Oxford Eye Hospital and a Medical Retina at the Oxford Eye Hospital and Moorfield’s Eye Hospital in London.
