OcuPlan and the Macular Society continue their successful partnership into a second year
We are thrilled to announce that OcuPlan is continuing its impactful partnership with the Macular Society for a second year, furthering our commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of those affected by Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD). Over the past year, our collaboration has yielded notable achievements in raising awareness of AMD and educating patients and professionals.
In our inaugural year of collaboration with the Macular Society, OcuPlan worked closely with the team and had the opportunity to meet Macular Society members. The feedback gathered not only further highlighted some of the issues in the care available for people living with AMD but also helped us to shape our services to truly help people to be better informed, educated and cared for.
Through various outreach programs such as webinars, articles and professional events we've successfully educated both patients and healthcare professionals about the importance of early diagnosis of AMD and how through early conversations and the right advice we can help to reduce the risk of sight loss.
Cathy Yelf, chief executive of the Macular Society, said:“We are delighted to continue our partnership with OcuPlan for another year. This collaboration helps us reach more people affected by macular disease, to ensure they have access to the information and support they need. We’re also proud to work with the team at OcuPlan to focus on raising awareness of the vital importance of early diagnosis and the difference this can make to people living with AMD.”
As we embark on this second year of collaboration, OcuPlan is committed more than ever to make a lasting impact on the lives of those living with AMD. This is spearheaded by the launch of our new virtual service. An exciting addition to our services that extends our reach to people all over the UK, a care option that offers unrivalled accessibility and ensures that individuals, regardless of their location, can benefit from the expert advice from our consultant ophthalmologists from the comfort of their own home.
Dan Calladine, Founder of OcuPlan, said: “I’m thrilled that OcuPlan and the Macular Society are continuing our partnership into a second year. The first year has been a huge success for us not only in further developing our offering to truly help people living with AMD, but also in achieving our objectives of reaching new audiences to educate them on the importance of early diagnosis of AMD.”
Together, OcuPlan and the Macular Society are committed to driving progress, raising awareness, and providing support every step of the way.
